FRS RADIO Training Summer 2017

The Mission of the Office of Emergency Services (OES) is to coordinate the unified and efficient use of City resources, outside agencies (mutual aid), and community resources to prevent, to prepare for, to respond to, and to recover from all hazards.

ESVs will learn and review the use of the Family Radio Services communication device, the fundamentals in communications during emergency usage, Palo Alto's communications links and the use of different communication modes and strategies.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All ESV's

PREREQUISITE(S):

• Registered ESV with the City of Palo Alto. If you have not completed the ESV Application Form, please follow this ESV Application Form hyperlink.

STUDENTS SHOULD BRING: Radio unit which features FRS/GMRS channels and have a channel and sub-channel, note pad and pen/pencil.
