Freedom 5k & Kids' Fun Run sponsored by OrthoNeuro

The Freedom 5k & Kids’ Fun Run is a family friendly event to celebrate the birth of our nation.

Take a break from the concrete as this event is a 5k run that winds its way through the Pickerington High School North XC course. The 5k course is an OHSAA certified 5,000m course with varied terrain through woods and practice fields. There is very little elevation change on the course. Over 1200m of the course is run through wooded terrain.

The Central Ohio Regional Cross Country Championship is run on the Pickerington North XC course. The start and finish area are located within 100m of each other for a spectator-friendly viewing of the race.

The run includes a Kids’ Fun Run in advance of the 5k event, so be sure to bring the whole family!

Times: Day of event registration: 7:15 am

Kids’ Fun Run: 8:00 am

OrthoNeuro Freedom 5k: 8:30 am

Location: Pickerington High School North XC course located at 7800 Refugee Road.

Parking: Parking is available at Pickerington High School North located at 7800 Refugee Road, Pickerington, OH 43147.

Race Number/Shirt Pick-Up:

You can pick up your race number and shirt at the registration table on Race Day just prior to the event.

Kids’ Fun Run:

Children and adults can participate in the FREE Fun Run. Participants will be divided into two groups. Kids’ 5 and under will run a 100 yard dash and kids’ 6-9 will run a 1/4 mile course. T-Shirts will not be available for participants in the Kids’ Fun Run; however, all finishers will receive a ribbon!

Kids can enjoy activities like hula hoops, jump rope, and chalk drawing before the run. There will be special appearances by some of your favorite movie characters like the Paw Patrol, and Minnie and Mickey Mouse. Both the Tiger and Panther mascots will also make an appearance! All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Refreshments and post race:

Light refreshments will be available for race participants at the start and finish lines.

Results within minutes after the conclusion of the race via text and/or email.

Each participant will receive a finisher medal with trophies awarded to the Top 2 Women and Top 2 Men in each category.

Categories are 10 and under, 11-15, 16-35, 36-50 and 51 and over.
