Free Weekly Early Morning SUP Paddles

WHEN: Every Thursday starting June 11 @ 7:30a-8:30a
WHERE: Portland Paddle s site at the East End Beach (look for our sign)
WHO: Anyone who is confident and comfortable paddling a SUP on Casco Bay with a group
COST: Free with your own SUP; $15 to rent one from Portland Paddle ($10 off the usual rate)

COVID-19 Policy-
In order to safely and effectively run this meetup, we request that you are comfortable setting up a paddle board on your own, properly fitting a PFD on your own, have some SUPing experience, and are comfortable getting back on you board should you fall off.

We re bringing back our weekly SUP paddles for our 2020 season! Starting on June 11 our staff will lead an early morning paddle from our site at the East End Beach every Thursday. It s free to join with your own board or just $15 to rent one from us ($10 off the usual rate).

This weekly gathering is a casual paddle open to anyone with some SUP experience who feels comfortable and confident on a board. This isn t a guided trip, so everyone is responsible for their own safety, but our staff are happy to share their knowledge of the sport. The group will stay on the water for about an hour and will pick a destination that fits the conditions and participants. If you ve never been stand-up paddling before we suggest taking a lesson before joining this group.
