Self-care is no luxury. Feeling better WHILE you work, is actually possible. This workshop will show you how.
This fun and informative workshop will provide invaluable skills to integrate better posture and body mechanical habits into your work-life. We will go over the most common (and painful) habits, how to correct them and re-train "muscle-memory", and restore balance and relief to overworked muscles and areas of the body.
There will be discussions about designing methods for REMEMBERING to take "care-breaks" to yourself during work, headache prevention (heeding those warning signs that one is coming, and they can be averted), reviewing all of the factors you may have forgotten about like hydration (yes, I have a trick or three to help you drink water too), sleep (and how to improve it), and many other simple and effective methods to integrate wellness in the workplace.
Lisa Lent is an Integrative Health Educator and Advocate. She blends her knowledge of massage, fitness, and experience with the "Brain-Body Bond" using simple, straight-forward methods to inspire people to self-care..
Her posture and body-mechanical awareness work began with her massage education in 2009, first helping herself to correct her own "forward head posture" and straight cervical spine, then sharing her knowledge with her clients who wanted to learn how to empower themselves, going beyond getting relief from her effective massage techniques.
"The body speaks, listen."
