Founder's Day 2019 - Celebrating 30 Years of Ohio Acacia
The Ohio Chapter of Acacia would like to cordially invite you and your significant other to our 30th Annual Founders’ Day Festivities on March 22nd & 23rd, 2019.
Friday, March 22nd
6:00 pm to 9:00 pm: Alumni Social in the President's Suite at the Ohio University Inn
Join us in the President's Suite at the Ohio University Inn for an alumni social including complimentary drinks and snacks.
Saturday, March 23rd
9:30 am: 11th Annual 5cacia: A 5k for Pancreatic Cancer Research at Tailgreat Park ( 97 Richland Ave )
The 5cacia Run/Walk for Pancreatic Cancer Research has raised $50,000 in the last 2 years, accounting for 25% of all money raised by the Ohio University Greek system for philanthropic causes. By contributing $20, you can participate in the 5k run/walk and receive a t-shirt. You can also choose to be a spectator-partner and opt to have your donation go directly to the Lustgarten Foundation. To donate visit
1:30 pm: Founder's Day Banquet at the Ohio University Inn & Conference Center. We will have a short time of networking followed by dinner, chapter awards, and celebrations. (Coat and tie requested; business casual required)

The Ohio Acacia Founder's Day Banquet and Awards Ceremony celebrate the history of Ohio Acacia from our original founding in 1949, our refounding in 1989 and our leaders today. This annual event brings together our current Chapter membership with Alumni to celebrate the commonality that is our Fraternity.
Menu: Grilled Chicken Breast with Vine Ripened Tomatoes, Fresh Basil & Fontina Cheese, served with Roasted Garlic Sauce over a Long Grain Wild Rice Pilaf. Served with Ginger Glazed Baby Carrots and Baked Potatoes with Sour Cream & Butter. A vegetarian option of Pappardelle Pasta with Lemon-Oil Sauce, Roasted Garlic, Sundried Tomatoes & Roasted Carrots. All Entrees include a Fresh Garden Salad with Assorted Dressings, Rolls and Butter & Dark Chocolate Mousse served in a Chocolate Cup with Raspberry Coulis. Complimentary Beverages Include Ice Tea, Coffee (Regular and Decaffeinated), Hot Water, and a Selection of Teas. Also includes Creamer and Sugar for Coffee; Honey and Lemon for Tea.
A cash bar will be available in the Ball Room during the banquet.
The fraternity has reserved a block of hotel rooms at the Baymont by Wyndham Athens (20 Home Street Athens, Ohio 45701) at a discounted rate for the weekend. Reserve your room by calling (844) 298-3216 and mention ACACIA.
The room rate is $123/night plus applicable taxes. Our discounted rate is available through February 28th at which point the rooms are released to the public and no longer guaranteed for our group.
*The Ohio University Inn and Conference Center no longer has any rooms available (the hotel is fully booked for the weekend).
