Foster Care Home Safety

This will be an exciting event where you will meet other foster parents and learn about keeping your home safe ages bith -18y. 

-9:00 am- 9:30a-  arrive/mingle

-9:30a-10:30 am-We will have SAFE CARE/Family Tree come and speak on safety in the home birth -5y.

What is SafeCare Colorado?

·      A free program for parents and caregivers of children ages five and under

·      Parents and caregivers work side-by-side with a parent support provider to build on the skills you already have

·      SafeCare Colorado provides parents and caregivers with free items such as electrical outlet covers, door latches and a health manual developed by pediatricians

Parents and caregivers learn to:

·      Identify and remove common household hazards to make your home safer for children

·      Increase positive behaviors, prevent difficult behaviors, and have a stronger relationship with your children

·      Prevent, identify and respond to common childhood illnesses and injuries

-1030 am-11:30am-  Education/Resources and discussion on other safety measures for your home children 5-18y

 This a free event. Childcare provided. 2 training hours will be earned.
