Foster, Adoptive and Kinship Families Connect: Ensuring Success for Students with ADHD

Dr. Kelly Henderson, Executive Director of Formed Families Forward, will share tips and tricks to ensure success for your student with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in the new school year. We will review the most recent federal policy updates for securing accommodations, special instruction and other supports for students with ADHD in schools. Practical strategies for improving academic, social and behavioral outcomes at home and school will be shared. While all parents and caregivers are welcome, we particularly encourage all foster and adoptive parents and kinship caregivers raising children and youth with special needs to join us for our first Loudoun Connect evening session.
