Join our monthly Gardening Class! This month's topic is:

Decorating with Chocolate

Great news for chocoholics! Studies suggest that eating moderate amounts of dark chocolate can lower your blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart disease, help control blood sugar and slash stress. Join us as we discuss the importance treating oneself while maintaining a balanced diet throughout survivorship. We will also discuss myths vs. truths regarding nutrition and cancer, including the hot topics of sweets and sugar. We will make chocolate covered strawberries and (moderately) indulge in a decadent chocolate tasting!

To reserve your place, we request a $5 reservation fee. Scholarships are available; for more information please contact Forge at 205-838-6159.

Hosted by Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center, Alabama Cooperative Extension System, and Birmingham Botanical Gardens; Forge's monthly classes are for anyone who has ever been diagnosed with breast cancer, as well as their loved ones and the healthcare professionals that serve them.
