Why The Drama? 

FilmGate Miami’s reimagined actor, writer and industry meetup at the FilmGate Studios in Downtown Miami. Our mission is to craft, critic and expand works and performances, coming from South Florida. Special guests will include casting agents, filmmakers, and distinguished media industry members. This weekly event will feature a read-through of screenplays and welcomes industry professionals to witness the talent Miami has to offer. 

• Doors Open at 7:30 pm! Show begins at 8:00 pm! 

• $5 entry fee for industry/audience. A ticket will be provided for a free drink OR a free empanada.

• Free entry for our elite actor SQUAD, the writers who are presenting and also our VIP advisors. 

• This program is limited to 30 attendees. 
• No Video Recording allowed ( we only want your best work to be public)

How do I submit?

Drop off at Filmgate location and/or email our Studio Coordinators . Once your script has been selected, you will be notified by one of our Filmgate Staff. 

If I am an Actor/Actress how can I preform?

Pre-Auditions is where its at. Please email Resume and Headshot. We will schedule a date and time. 

Where can I Park? 

You can park at the Courtyard Marriott directly behind our bullding.

In order to receive the $5 stamp, we advise that you VALET. Let one of the Valet drivers know that you are part of a FilmGate event. They will give you a YELLOW ticket. Please bring that yellow ticket to the FilmGate event. One of our volunteers will stamp your ticket for you. 

Parking is $5 for 5 hours.

FilmGate Miami COVID -19 Safety Practices

? We require healthy hygiene practices such as hand washing
?Employees and participants are required to wear a mask face covering
? We have intensified cleaning, disinfection, and ventilation
? We will provide hand sanitizer, and bleach wipes
? We encourage social distancing and enhance spacing between employees, members and workshop participants
? We will create clearly marked work and study stations, that maintain distance without
? We will train all employees on health and safety protocols
? We will implement procedures to check for signs and symptoms of employees daily upon arrival
? We require anyone who is sick to stay home
? We regularly communicate and monitor developments with local authorities and employees
? We consult with the local health authorities if there is an increase in cases in the local area
