Fencing Fundamentals for Students with Special Needs - Hawthorne, CA 2020

Description Due to societal stigmas, special-needs individuals are limited in opportunities to participate in any type of sports. The students will be learning the basics and fundamentals of fencing. The non-traditional sport of fencing builds confidence, empowerment and determination. A side benefit is exercising, improving balance, motor skills, concentration and focus. These skills translate to improved performance of the individual in school and life. As an inclusive group, we will be building comradery and team work. The benefits are endless.
