Farm Day Camp for Summer/Intersession/Trackout (individual days option)

COVID-19 Update:

We are planning to have summer camp if that is allowed by the county by end of May. We will keep all those currently signed up, updated by email on any changes to this plan.

For all attendees to camps we will have a few things in place for safety. We will be asking folks to wash their hands upon arrival and often during the camp day, give everyone their distance when signing in, maintaining social distance when possible throughout the camp day, inviting kids to wear masks if they like with a stronger encouragement towards bandannas than actual masks due to goat curiosity and chewing. We may not be wearing masks at all times, but the counselors will have bandannas if they need to be closer than 6 feet to anyone. Our owner is hearing impaired so if anyone needs to talk with him they will need to lower masks/bandannas for him to lip read. These precautions may change as we get closer, and depending on the risk level of campers and their families.

We totally understand if these precautions are not strict enough for those of high risk or those who have high risk members of their household. We encourage you to make the choices that are best for you and your family. We will continue to put lots of great animal videos and pictures on social media, and have virtual visit options for those who would like to remain off farm. Every Week we will be

• Playing with and caring for all the farm animals

• Exploring the woods near Falls Lake

• Getting wading time at the lake (weather and temp permitting)

• Playing games

• Doing arts and crafts, and so much more!!!

Our counselor to camper ratio is at most 1:10 (but often smaller). We also often have junior counselors each week of camp.

When/What:

We offer week long and single day camps all summer from June till the end of August. Then multiple weeks and individual days during the school year for those in trackout, intercession, or just traditional calendars who have time off.

Each week will also have possible survival skill, creative design, farm project, and gardening possibilities in addition to all of our nature and animal exploration options.

Time:

M-F 8:30 am-4:30 pm

Early Drop off and late pick up available for small fee

Cost:

$45 per day for single days or $160 for whole week

$5 off per child for multichild households.

Early Drop off and late pick up:

• Early Drop off: starts at 7:30 am ($4 per day or $15 for the week)

• Late Pick up: ends at 6:00 pm ($6 per day or $20 for the week)

Ages:

Campers: 7-13 years old (may accept 5-6 year olds that enjoy playing outside all day long!)

Got a 14-17 year old? They can be a junior counselor, or if you get a small group together (at least 5 kids) we will run a special camp group just for them in the week(s) of your choice for just $100 each, or $25 each for a day! (send us an email at huxfamilyfarm@gmail.com if interested)

Junior Counselors: must be ages 14-17. Attend for free in exchange for assisting the counselors and helping with our campers. Great for resumes, volunteer hours, and good work experience.

Refund Policy: 

Single day tickets are non-refundable and full payment is required up front.

A $50 per week per child deposit is required and will apply toward your camp cost if you don't pay the full cost up front. (this can be arranged by emailing camp@huxfamilyfarm.com)

$20 of that deposit is non-refundable. $30 is refundable up until 6 weeks before your camp week. If you pay the full camp cost up front, and plans change before 6 weeks before camp all will be refundable except the $20. 

The full camp cost is due by 6 weeks before your camp week unless alternate payment arrangements have been made. If you are signing up after the 6 weeks mark we will ask for the full amount up front, but may still be able to make paymanet arrangements on a case by case basis.

A month prior to each camp week, the full cost becomes non-refundable except in the case of extreme circumstances such as hospitalization, etc. We can also try to fill your spot from any waitlists, then potentially get you a refund.
