Faith in Families--COMMUNITY PRESENTATION

Do you provide support to parents? Do some of them struggle upon learning their child is lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender? Would you like additional resources for support?

Join us JANUARY 25th to learn more!

In order to facilitate open conversation, Faith in Families sessions are usually open only to parents struggling after discovering their child is LGBT. However, please join us on JANUARY 25th at 10 AM for a community presentation and discussion about this exciting new program to support families! You will see the activities and information we present, and get your questions answered about our goals and approach. All are welcome, especially those who work directly with parents and families, in religious or non-religious contexts.

Whether parents or caregivers have just found out that they have an LGBT child or have known for years, if a family you work with is struggling, we want to be there for them. Lighthouse Youth & Family Services can provide support and guidance as families learn to navigate this new family dynamic. Faith in Families’ services include:

•  A judgment free and confidential place to get support
•  Respect for faith and family values
•  Programs for parents, foster parents and other caregivers
•  Family support to improve communication and reduce family conflict
•  Referrals to other supports

All are welcome, especially those who work directly with parents and families, in religious or non-religious contexts.

The program is free and lunch is provided. It will be held at 10 AM at Lighthouse Youth & Family Services, 401 East McMillan St., Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.

Lunch includes a special presentation and discussion for attendees with religious questions facilitated by our partners at LOVEboldly.
