Experimental Drawing

Students will be subjected to varying times in darkness using blind guided exercises with both dominant and non-dominant hands, and varying degrees of light and time allowed for drawing. This method creates another dimension of observation. Though one could create an intellectual argument that this method is a ‘convention’ of its own, Dennis doesn't perceive it that way. His approach it as an ”experimental drawing” activity intended to assist the student in developing their own personal vision that is not burdened by convention. Some guided meditation exercises may be used to emphasize the importance of mindfulness while drawing.
