Are you looking for a childbirth class in the Reno area , that gives you the flexibility of online learning, but also the support of in-person connections?

When you take the Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Class, you will:

• Be mentored by your own Evidence Based Birth® Instructors
• Learn about evidence based care, comfort measures, and advocacy
• Get prepared, get answers, get empowered!

When taking the Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Class, you and your partner will learn the evidence for your birth options in an online class format, and meet in-person with local instructors and other parents in the Reno area who are going through pregnancy and birth just like you.

This Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Class is taught by Tiffany Hoffman and Amanda Macdonald, two of Reno's certified professional midwives and former doulas. It's so important to remember that there is no one right way or place to have a baby. Your instructors strive to help you discover the options that feel best for your family. This may mean planning a medicated hospital birth, a planned cesarean birth, a waterbirth at home, a doula-supported unmedicated birth or anywhere in between.

This hybrid format class provides the convenience of home access to quality Evidence Based Birth® materials and online content. We understand that many modern families are busy and online learning is a great option, with the added benefit of local in-person mentorship.

You’ll have access to the Instructors during in-person classes and during weekly Zoom sessions (video chat). We’ll pick the weekly date/time for our online meetings based on the group’s availability.

• First in-person class is Sunday, February 9, 2020, 2-4:30pm.
• Comfort Measures Practice is Sunday March 15, 2020, 2-4:30pm.
• The in-person session location is at Midtown Midwifery Collective:
• 12 W. Taylor Street in Reno.
• A final “birth story” reunion class is included– get a chance to debrief after your birth in a safe space (this is really important!)

What is included in this Childbirth Class?

Registration includes the in-person classes which, weekly Zoom video chats with your Instructors, access to lessons online at the Evidence Based Birth®Parents Portal, and a PDF and video library with the most up to date evidence on topics like Eating and Drinking During Labor, Vitamin K, Due Dates, and more. Plus a reunion “birth story” gathering.

One ticket is good for both the pregnant parent and their chosen support person. Your doula or secondary support person is welcome to our in-person classes as well.
