What is Essentrics?

History & Philosophy: Former Candian Royal ballerina Miranda Esmond-White, her researcher daughter Sahra, and the Canadian National Sports Federation have created a unique flexibility program geared towards long lean muscles, excellent posture, and relieving pain. The Essentrics program appeals to baby-boomers, competitive athletes, and young adults alike. The techniques of Pulling Up and Turning Out are directly derived from ballet. Using arms overhead is unique to Essentrics. Essentrics techniques protect the hips, relieve back and knee pain, and improve circulation and alignment.

Who may benefit? Adults of all ages interested in working on posture, and lengthening muscles through the torso, hips, and pelvis through the breath and dance-meets-yoga-meets-tai-chi like movement.

In addition, this workout features Trademark exercises and standing work designed to strengthen the core and improve shoulder mobility. 

This is an age-reversing workout that will restore movement in your joints, flexibility in your muscles, relieve pain, and provide more overall strength and energy.  A slow-paced, full body workout great for seniors, people who are starting to exercise after a long sedentary period, and those recovering from injuries, in pain / who suffer from chronic conditions, including arthritis, frozen shoulder, sciatica, etc.
