The 25th Escape New York was outstanding, and we will continue to build on our trandition for great food options, updated routes and a lot more other things to come for the 26th year..  For 25 years Escape New York has challenged riders of all all levels to leave Manhattan via the George Washington Bridge and to explore the beauty and history just across the Hudson River.  Escorted Rides were a big success last year, and we will expand with even more options this year.  Escape New York is powered by the New York Cycle Club, a 100% volunteer organization in the service of the New York Cycling community.  The ride offers five routes: 100 miles: Are you an experienced rider looking for a challenging ride? Climb nearly 6,000 feet while completing a full century through charming towns and beautiful countryside that takes you into and around New York’s beautiful Harriman State Park. Dirt route: Are you more inclined to head off-road? For the gravel riders, the Dirty Spin is a 100-kilometer route that takes rolling back roads to get to Rockland County’s network of scenic unpaved multi-use trails. A gravel or cyclocross bike with at least 30mm-wide tires is strongly recommended for this ride. This is not a road bike route! 75 miles: Looking for a bit of a challenge? Gain over 4,000 feet of elevation as you wind your way uphill and down dale through 75 miles in scenic Rockland County.  50 miles: Do you prefer a “touring” approach to cycling? Enjoy the scenery on our half-century excursion to the historic village of Piermont on the Hudson. 25 miles: New to cycling? Is this your first time riding outside of the Hudson Greenway or Central Park? Expand your horizons as you amble through the leafy suburbs of Bergen County. Perks: Breakfast, catered Post-Ride lunch festival, awesome rest stops and more! Support: Hundreds of volunteers and marshals on the route, Well-stocked rest stops, limited SAG support. FAQs Who's behind Escape New York and who's it for?  Escape New York is organized by volunteers from the non-profit organization 'New York Cycle Club' for anyone to enjoy a day on the bike. The ride benefits other non-profit organizations that help local at-risk youth through cycling. Do I have to be a serious cyclist to participate in Escape New York? Escape New York celebrates cyclists at all levels: bike commuters, recreational cyclists and racers. Whether you have never crossed the George Washington Bridge before or you are a seasoned rider doesn't matter. We offer four routes to suit your level. Can I race in Escape New York? Escape New York is a non-competitive ride. Racers and strong riders who are looking to challenge themselves more than usual are welcome to join local race teams featured at the head of the 100-mile ride as long as they maintain a friendly non-race attitude.  Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Tickets for Escape New York 2020 are non-transferrable and non refundable.  IMPORTANT!  Check-In and Packet Pick Up dates are TBD, and will happen the week before the ride.
