Equal Pay Day Event [Postponed]

Women.nyc is marking Equal Pay Day 2020 with an event that will equip women with the tools they need to advance in their careers and get paid what they deserve for their work. Join us for free headshots, a resource fair, networking, speed mentoring and a Work Smart salary negotiation workshop, brought to you by AAUW.

Equal Pay Day is selected each year by the National Committee on Pay Equity to symbolize how far into the following year women must work to catch up to what their male counterparts earned in the previous year. This gap widens when breaking down by race and ethnicity for Black, Native, and Latina women, with Latina women recognizing Equal Pay Day as far out as November 2nd, 2020. You will come away from this event with a fresh, professional headshot (no more cropped group pics!), personal advice from a variety of high-achieving mentors, useful resources for women at every stage in their careers and the skills to ask for and get more money at work.

During registration you will be prompted to register for a headshot and/or speed mentoring if you are interested in them. Slots for headshots and speed mentoring are first come, first serve.

Light refreshments will be served.

5:00-6:00pm: Early bird headshots (requires advance registration)

6:00-7:00pm: AAUW Work Smart salary negotiation workshop

7:00-8:30pm: Networking
