Emerge is a training preparing members of the Mason community to respond to survivors of sexual and relationship violence and to create a network of faculty and staff dedicated to supporting survivors. Victims are most likely to disclose abuse to a trusted faculty member or friend. Therefore, SSAC provides a 3 hour training that will help you and your organization become more comfortable and skilled when responding to a disclosure. Knowing how to respond effectively can improve healing for the student victims and assists them in connecting with resources and support services. Registration is required and this student is only open to Faculty, Staff & Graduate Students with a job on campus.
