Veteran, Educator, Imporv and Stand-up comic Pete Bergen is our headliner. He may look and sound gruff but he is a big bear of a sweetheart. You’ll love his take on his own sorted history and observations in general. He has performed with and opened for Rory Scovel, Patton Oswalt, Chris Kattan and more. Locally he has been at the D.C. Improv, Magoobys, Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse and the Drafthouse Comedy Theater. Pete has performed at the D.C. Improv, Drafthouse Comedy Theater, in D.C., and Magoobys Joke House. He serves as a Barcaster for 120 Sports, providing insight on the pulse of DC sports. He is also a regular performer at 12 step conventions all over

This year’s features are New York Times Opinion contributor Haywood Turnipseed, Jr., senior adult entertainer Thezz Grimes, “up and comer” Ryan Lina, and educators Elizabeth Danger Norman & Abby Mello.

Abby Mello is a stand-up comic who has performed all over the East Coast and beyond. She is a regular host at Magooby’s Joke House and performer at The Funny Bone, Helium Comedy Club Philly, DC Drafthouse, and many, many, bars. Abby produces an all-womxn comedy showcase in Baltimore called Lip Service. Equal parts nerdy and dirty, her comedic style draws from her experience as an educator, social science researcher, and human woman. Abby’s relatable content is largely autobiographical - aimed at finding the funny in everyday life. A moderately famous comic once described her comedy as, “feminine, vulnerable, and not taking sh*t from anyone”. Abby has a 4.3 on rate-my-professor and is a 5-star Lyft passenger.

Elizabeth Norman is Baltimore born and raised, Elizabeth Norman is a comedian, educator and ghost enthusiast. She has opened for Pauly Shore, Mike Vecchione and Michael Ian Black. She has appeared on the Baltimore Comedy Fest, Chicago Women’s Funny Fest, Bentzen Ball, She-Devil and a wide variety of bars in DC, Baltimore and Pennsylvania! Her comedy is smart, silly and sometimes informative!

Elizabeth produces three fabulous monthly comedy shows: Club “Out-of-Town,” a women and LGBTQIA+ showcase and open mic; Hot Set, a hot pepper challenge comedy show; and Ugly Baby, a showcase in Baltimore’s bar district.

Thezz Grimes is From Harford County MD. Enjoys being on stage as much as he enjoys Topanaga and Royal Farms potato wedges.

The host is “super Dad” Chris Lawrence. Christopher Lawrence is a Baltimore-area based comedian who performs in clubs, bars, coffee shops and any other venue that will have him throughout the Maryland-Virginia-DC area. He loves telling audiences about his foibles as he navigates everything from his job, to his marriage to raising his kids and other daily activities.
