Join us October 5 at The Allan House and bid on exclusive dining packages with notable Austin chefs. Indulge in small bites prepared by the chefs. We will also feature a fantastic silent auction; you’re bound to leave happy even if you don’t place the highest bid (though we’d love it if you did). 

Live Auction package bidding starts at 7:30 p.m. From a backyard BBQ with Aaron Franklin to fifteen courses with Tyson Cole, the bidders at our past Chef Auction have taken away some seriously incredible experiences. Soon, Edible Austin will announce the ten talented chefs joining us this year in support of Sustainable Food Center and Urban Roots.

TexacelloBending Branch WineryReal Ale and Seersucker Gin will be on site with some refreshing libations. 

Live Auction Chefs: 

Tyson Cole: Uchi / Uchiko
Live Auction Package: Enjoy an amazing dining experience with Chef Tyson Cole, nine of your friends and some extrordinary seafood, all in the comfort of Uchiko's private dining room. It's sure to be a dinner you and your friends will savor for years to come.
About the Chef: Tyson Cole is a passionate student of the Japanese tradi­tion. He has trained for more than 10 years in Tokyo, New York, and Austin, under two different sushi masters. He continues his path of study and exper­i­men­ta­tion at Uchi, devel­oping unprece­dented, multi-cultural combi­na­tions using his impec­cable knowl­edge of tech­nique.

Sonya Cote: Eden East
Live Auction Package: If you've ever dined at Eden East, you know the exceptional joy of a meal on the farm. Here is your chance to savor that lovely sensation in the comfort of your own home! Chef Cote will create a custom multi-course menu with pairings for 10, and bring the magic of the farm straight to your dining room.
About the Chef: For Chef Sonya Cote, cooking is more than just putting food on a plate - it's about creating "edible pieces of art", utilizing locally-grown and raised ingredients for freshness and nutrition, and educating future generations. Cote can be found splitting her time between her two restaurants and the Homegrown Revival supper club series and combing the fields of Springdale Farm for menu inspirations for Eden East.

Aaron Franklin: Franklin Barbecue
Live Auction Package: Do you often find yourself craving some of Austin's most iconic brisket? Skip the wait at Franklin's Barbecue, and bring the pit master himself into your backyard for your own personal, delicious barbecue. Mouthwatering meats will be in order, along with classic barbecue fixins. This package is one for the ultimate fan of Texas cookouts.
About the Chef: Aaron Franklin's interest in BBQ started with the backyard cookouts that he and wife, Stacy, would throw. When they opened up a small barbecue trailer on the side of an Austin, Texas, interstate in 2009, they had no idea what they'd gotten themselves into. Today, Franklin Barbecue has grown into the most popular, critically lauded and obsessed-over barbecue joint in the country (if not the world) -- and Franklin is the winner of every major barbecue award there is. Six days a week, crowds stand in line for hours for a taste of his mouth-watering brisket.
Yoshi Okai: Otoko // South Congress Hotel
Live Auction Package: Tourists and staycationers alike can find a fantastic couple days in this package with Chef Yoshi Okai. Spend two nights in luxury at the South Congress Hotel, and bring in a couple more friends to enjoy a classic omakese dinner for four with wine pairings, prepared by Chef Okai.
About the Chef: Otoko is a 12-seat Japanese omakase restaurant located at South Congress Hotel in Austin, Texas. The multi-course omakase experience at Otoko blends Tokyo-style sushi and Kyoto-style kaiseki into a unique tasting menu, selected and prepared by Head Chef Yoshi Okai based on ingredient availability and seasonality.
Callie and Philip Speer: Holy Roller // Bonhomie
Live Auction Package: Bring home two of Austin's premiere pastry chefs turned savory, Chefs Phillip and Callie Speer, for an immeasurable multi-course bakery and cooking collaboration. This two-for-one talented chef duo is not to be missed out on!
About the Chefs: The resumes and accolades behind this chef duo qualify them as a kitchen power couple. Philip is currently leading the kitchen at Bonhomie a French Bistro inspired American diner. Callie is running her own team at Holy Roller the punk rock, brunch all day diner.
Fiore Tedesco: L'Oca d'Oro
Live Auction Package: Host a four-course pasta tasting dinner at your home with 7 friends who also love the comforting Italian food prepared by Chef Fiore Tedesco of L'Oca d'Oro. Cheese enthusiasts, be sure to bid on this one, as this dinner also comes with a cheesemaking demo!
About the Chef: L'Oca d'Oro began hosting pop-up dinners and private events in the Austin area in 2013. Now, the team has brought their culinary vision to life with the opening of its first full service restaurant. L'Oca d'Oro, which means "golden goose" in Italian, was inspired by Chef Tedesco's daughter's nickname, "Lucy Goose". Chef Tedesco will present a variety of Italian dishes in individual or sharable family-style formats.
Joshua Thomas: Mattie's
Live Auction Package: Whether you're a brunch lover, or a dinner fanatic, Chef Joshua Thomas of the newly revamped Mattie's has a multi-course meal for every bidder--But only one can win! The top bidder on this unique package can choose between dinner or brunch, and invite some of their closest friends to join them for the meal, with beverage pairings, all at the new Mattie's.
About the Chef: Chef Joshua Thomas began his culinary career at three-star Michelin restaurant, Le Bernardin NYC, where he honed his culinary skills under world-renowned chef, Eric Ripert. Thomas also held the executive sous chef position at Devi NYC, where he and his team earned their own Michelin star. Thomas relocated to Austin in 2010, where he previously owned and operated an Indian food truck known as the Chaat Shop.
Casey Wilcox: Central Standard
Live Auction Package: Known for their Prime steaks and seafood, Central Standard Bar & Grill serves up fabulous group dinners at the hands of Chef Casey Wilcox. Come enjoy some of the best meat in Austin with Chef Casey!
About the Chef: Casey Wilcox has worked in kitchens all over the nation and has just taken the helm at Central Standard in the South Congress Hotel.
Nicholas Yanes and Amanda Turner: Juniper
Live Auction Package: We invite you and seven of your friends, foes, or family to join us in the kitchen of Juniper for a cooking, eating and wine tasting extravaganza. Juniper's auction package will start with a hands-on ravioli and pasta making demo with Chef Nic and Chef Amanda. During the demo, you'll enjoy cheeses, meats and light snacks. The pasta demo will be followed by a classic Italian wine class while the chefs prepare a special five-course family-style dinner. The evening will end with a course on amaro and grappa from Northern Italy.
About the Chefs: Chef Nicholas Yanes earned his Associates of Culinary Arts degree at the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, OR. His recent experience as creative director at Uchi in Austin and his time spent in Northern Italy helped pave the way to his latest concept, Juniper. Juniper's menu combines premier ingredients and old world technique to create comforting, yet inventive classic cuisine that connects the northern regions of Italy as well as other adjoining areas with Central Texas with the help of Chef de Cuisine Amanda Turner.
