At Fresh Truck, we work to radically impact community health by celebrating food culture and strengthening communities with fresh food. The Fresh Truck program has transformed retired school buses to serve as a mobile market full of fresh produce that drives to a variety of neighborhoods around Boston to deliver fresh, healthy food to the people who need it most! The Fresh truck operates weekly markets at 18 locations around the city.

About Fresh s redesigned Open Air Market strives to increase access to fresh food while providing increased opportunities for households to use SNAP/HIP benefits. They do this outside while trying to keep their staff, volunteers, and shoppers safe during the COVID-19 crisis. During these markets, shoppers have the option of selecting items from their menu of quality fruits and vegetables at a low-cost.

Volunteers directly support the Fresh Truck Open Air Market by:
-filling and bagging shopper orders on the bus
-greeting & monitoring the flow of the line
-taking order(s) from shoppers
-cleaning/sanitizing equipment & materials
