H.E. The 7th YOUNGE KHACHAB RINPOCHE

Vimalamitra: The Lamp Of The Nature Of Mind

 April 20th & 21st 2019

10am – 12pm & 2pm – 4pm

New York City

Please welcome Rinpoche back to NYC, as he leads a weekend of teachings on The Lamp Of The Nature Of Mind – a dazzling and profound work on the nature of mind and its clear expression. The 9 Lamps are a part of the Vima Nyingthig (Tibetan: "Seminal Heart of Vimalamitra") one of the two collections of the Menngagde cycle of the Dzogchen teachings. The 9 Lamps was originally realized and taught by the Maha-Pandita Vimalimitra, one of the 8 Great Teachers of Padmasambhava. Rinpoche will compliment the teachings with guided meditation practices and his own experience of these Dzogchen teachings which he holds inseparable from his heart. This is a wonderful opportunity to receive personal teaching and instructions in the Dzogchen tradition from a qualified teacher.

No previous instruction or study is required. Rinpoche will offer daily, guided meditation instruction

Venerable Younge Khachab Rinpoche VII

Younge Khachab Rinpoche, seventh in the Khachab line of reincarnations, is a direct descendent of the famed Terton, Younge Migyur Dorje and holds the family lineage for this cycle of Termas (hidden ‘treasure teachings’). His family has been closely associated with the Karmapas since the 17th century. He is a highly accomplished non-sectarian master, having been educated at Ganden and Rumtek monasteries. He has studied widely with masters in the Kagyu, Gelug, Nyingma, Sakya and Bon schools, and received his Geshe degree from Ganden University and was appointed Khenpo of a Kagyu monastery in Nepal where he served for several years. Rinpoche's style of teaching is direct, warm, and engaging, filled with equal parts erudition, kindness and a wonderful sense of humor.
