DTLA Walking Tour - Harry Chandler Historic Tour
Welcome to Downtown Los Angeles!
The historic tour is primarily centered around Harry Chandler, regarded by some as the father of downtown Los Angeles. Chandler was the head publisher of the LA Times and a prominent real estate investor in the 1920s. During the tour, we will visit some of his famous historic landmarks in DTLA, including the LA Times building, the Bradbury Building, and the LA Athletic Club. We’ll talk about his life from his humble beginnings as a newspaper delivery boy to his peak as the largest single real estate holder in the history of the US.
We’ll end our tour at Spire 73, the tallest open-air bar on the Western Hemisphere, where we can enjoy panoramic views of Downtown Los Angeles. We'll point out all of the places we stopped by during the tour from a bird's eye view - it's quite a sight!
