This is a fun & fabulous HISTORIC COCKTAIL CRAWL I have custom designed for you. If you love unique & interesting historical bars you will absolutely love this!! Bottoms up to the sky!!

FULL ITINERARY PROVIDED AFTER PAYMENT
You will receive an email with a detailed itinerary before Aug 1st which will include a brief history of all venues. At Philippe s I will handout the route that I have personally designed for this event.

PHILIPPE’S VS COLE S

We will go back in time starting with Philippe s and later Cole s- the legendary landmark saloon est. 1908 which claims (along with Philippe s) that the first French dip sandwich was served at Cole s in the same year. We will visit 4 historical bars + a few additional points of interest. I will provide a brief overview with some historical facts about each place.

BROKEN SHAKER ROOFTOP
DTLA has reinvented itself into an incredible restaurant & bar entertainment utopia with cool residential lofts & luxury condos too! There s so much to see and do! I have several favorite cool historical venues & bars including Broken Shaker s sister (same owners) just down the street but Broken Shaker tops the best of my favorite 3-worlds add incredible handcrafted cocktails too!

An oasis in the heart of Downtown LA, located on the rooftop pool deck, offers an eclectic menu of handcrafted cocktails and small bites. The Freehand Hotel
Historically unique, distinctively local hotel in DTLA housed in the historic Commercial Exchange building. The hotel is truly one-of-a-kind, featuring suites, premium hotel rooms and shared accommodations with interiors designed by Roman & Williams.

The Commercial Exchange Building
The 13-story building, and excellent example of beax Arts architecture, was completed in 1924. It was designed by the architecture firm of Walker & Eisen considered the preeminent architectural firm in Southern California during the 1920 s thru 40 s. This has the distinction of having been vertically split to permit widening of Olive Street. The building holds one of the tallest neon signs in Los Angeles.

Note: Walker & Eisen designed two other prominent buildings in DTLA: the stunning Art Deco Oviatt building- home of the world famous Cicada Club. They also designed with other partners many cinema-theater designs such as the United Artists Building where the Ace Hotel resides (another Rooftop Bar we will visit in the future).
