Hi all,
After much delay, The Toms River Literary Society will finally be holding its second official meeting next Wednesday, February 21st at 8 p.m. at Christopher's Pub. On the agenda for the evening will be the selection of the club's first book and a discussion of Dostoevsky's 'The Grand Inquisitor,' a sort-of story/sort-of parable concerning the existence of God, told by one character to another in his novel The Brothers Karamazov (Book V, Chapter 5). All of Dostoevsky's works, The Brothers K and 'The Grand Inquisitor' included, are in the public domain and easy to find online.
Feel free to start a discussion or message me directly if anyone has any questions about logistics and/or reading material. If enough people are interested in attending but can't for whatever reason make it next Wednesday, rescheduling is always a possibility. Otherwise happy reading and I look forward to seeing you next week!
