Dorian Electra
Singer, song-writer, and filmmaker Dorian Electra creates catchy, queer, electronic-pop with a dark edge. PAPER praised her “high-concept musical productions that beautifully marries great pop music with pertinent cultural narratives” about sexuality and gender. Her viral music videos, including 2000 Years of Drag, Ode To The Clitoris, and The History of Vibrators, released on Refinery29, have accumulated over six million views online. In 2016, Bullett Magazine premiered Electra’s ‘Mind Body Problem’, “a woozy synth-pop single that challenges feminine gender identity.” Electra’s stage performances are highly theatrical, combining larger than life set pieces, dancers, and her gender-bending drag-king persona. She is currently working on her debut EP.
