Discovery Days Kids Club

Each Wednesday morning, Halcyon's Discovery Days Kids Club will offer caregiver and child classes for preschool-aged children. Each class will feature a different seasonal theme with a story, song or opening activity. Then the adults and children will explore three to four different themed, hands-on centers. This class will include literacy, arts, music, science and physical activity. There were also be a focus on nature, animals and learning about our community and our world. As part of the class, children will also be exposed to animals. Discovery Day's pet gecko and bearded dragon will visit every class. Children will learn about these animals, what they eat, how to handle them and how to care for them. On other days, there may be special visits from chickens, dogs, hissing cockroaches, turtles, goats and more.
