Join us for an Artist Talk as Desiree Kelly discusses her current exhibit at the library!
“Then and Now: A Retrospective of Portraits” chronicles the career of up and coming Detroit artist Desiree Kelly. The exhibit presents Ms. Kelly’s iconic portraits of historical & public figures, utilizing her distinctive style of street art, traditional oil technique and mixed media. As we close out Desiree Kelly’s exhibit in the DPL Galleria, please join us on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. for an Artist’s Talk. Ms. Kelly will be joined by Daniel Chunn (guest interviewer) as they discuss her works & inspiration. The conversation will be followed by a Q & A session. This will be a great opportunity to see the exhibit before it closes and hear from the artist herself.
