The Deliverance Side Of Inner Healing

Traditionally, counselors have tried to transform lives by changing thoughts and behaviors. What limits the effectiveness of this approach is ignorance of the powerful laws by which the universe operates. Galatians 6:7-8 says: “Whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”

Inner healing and deliverance work so much better than inner healing alone. Inner healing removes lies and the roots of bitterness that feed those lies, depriving demons of their power. Then, when you send them away, they cannot return, for they have nothing left to return to.

Mark and Maureen direct Elijah Rain Ministries, headquartered in Post Falls, Idaho. Mark earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts at Boise State University in 1978 and a Master of Divinity with a major in counseling from Denver Theological Seminary in 1985. He is an author, teacher, conference speaker, prayer counselor, and mentor with 35 years of experience in ministry. With his father, John Sandford, he co-authored Deliverance and Inner Healing and Healing the Earth, and was a contributing author for David Appleby's college and grad-school textbook, Transformative Interventions, and Joy Corey's Divine Eros.

In recent years, Maureen has joined Mark in teaching, speaking, prayer counseling, and mentoring. 

Mark and Maureen have a passion for bringing healing to the Body of Christ (especially pastors and leaders) and for training others to do the same.
