Dance Master Class Series: Spring Quarter

We're excited to announce the Dance Master Class Series for Spring Quarter! University of Chicago’s Center for Theater and Performance Studies partners with the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts for a series of eight dance master classes during spring quarter.
The master classes are geared towards students with intermediate-level ability in their respective forms and are free to enrolled UChicago students on a first come, first served basis. Advanced reservation is recommended as space is limited, but walk-in attendance is welcome. First class in the dance master class series is next week– Wed, Apr 20, 7–8:30pm Ballet Technique with Courtney Anderson Ida Noyes Dance Room Courtney (Wright) Anderson began her professional career with the San Francisco Ballet where she performed leading roles in ballets by George Balanchine, Christopher Wheeldon, Helgi Tomasson, Yuri Possokhov, Jerome Robbins, Mark Morris, Matjash Mrozewski, and Julia Adam. She later joined Royal Ballet of Flanders (Antwerp, Belgium) where she performed ballets by William Forsythe (In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated, Impressing the Czar, full length Artifact), Marcia Haydee, George Balanchine, Matjash Mrozewski, Jirí Kylián, and Helen Pickett. As a freelance dancer, Courtney has performed with the Suzanne Farrell Ballet, Ron de Jesus Dance, Ruth Page Center for the Arts, and Ballet Chicago.
