The fabulous, fun-filled event begins with a JourneyDance class from 8 to 8:45 pm and continues with live drumming till 10 pm, and  Dj'd dancing until 11:00 pm.

Suzy Spivey has been teaching JourneyDance™ classes and workshops since 2006. She serves as Seasonal Staff at the Omega Institute and is a Certified Journey Dance, Kripalu Yoga Dance, and Shake Your Soul teacher. Drumming by DrumConnection of Boston!

Members of Boston Drum Circle will keep the rhythm stoked with authentic Áfrican feeling for all of the dancers.

DJ Rose will complete the evening with a set that will cover the globe with World Music that will incorporate the Drumming aspects of the earlier evening.

• Let's Dance!

Dance Friday is a place to dance barefoot, however you like, with or without a partner, to all kinds of music, in a smoke- and alcohol-free space.

We are a volunteer-run, consensus-governed, non-profit dance organization.

We will be dancing at 74 Pleasant St. Arlington, MA.

Join us on the 1st Friday of the month 8 to 11 pm.

What is Dance Friday?

Dance Friday is an event where people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities can express themselves through movement to music. We offer an atmosphere of acceptance, friendship, and trust. We guide our freedom of Expression by a committed respect for the physical and psychological safety of others. Dance Friday is a community drawn together by a shared delight in dance and the recognition and respect for the value of life. We are the only Boston-area dance to welcome children. Dance Friday is a member dance of Dance New England.

If you have an idea of a class or dance presentation please let us know and we will include it in a future event.

Dance Friday is an activity of the non-profit Movement Collective. Suggested Donation: $10-15, $5-10 after 10, $5-15 under 23 years old, or donate 45 minutes of your time to help out. We recommend casual, light-weight, comfortable clothing that you can move in.
