The Cypress Creek Community Chorale presents Franz Joseph Haydn's thrilling and troubling third mass. Written during the Napoleonic wars as a tribute to the British Admiral (possibly to commemorate Nelson's victory over Napoleon's army at Aboukar), the work, considered one of Haydn's finest and most popular, uses strings, trumpets and timpani to create an austere, dark sound. This work features organist Dr. Ann Frohbieter, soloists Shannon and Jimmy Jacobson, and conductor Dr. Joel Plaag. The event is free and a good will offering will be collected.
