Cursive, Calligraphy and Brush Lettering for Teens @All Hands Workshops

Modern calligraphy and brush lettering are everywhere these days, yet fewer and fewer people know how to write beautifully by hand or even read cursive scripts. In this 5 week class, youth will develop this versatile skill set with the guidance of letterer and designer Kendra Dosenbach. Starting with a review of cursive handwriting, students will create a variety of modern lettering projects using brush pens, pointed pens, chalk, watercolor and more. Students will go home with all the tools needed to continue practicing. A $20 materials fee is due the first day of class. Ever the renaissance soul, Kendra has an insatiable appetite for designing and creating beautiful objects and environments. She approaches making as meditation and believes it is powerful medicine for personal and collective well-being.
