Presenter:

Anchal Khanna, MA, LCMFT

Anchal Khanna is a therapist in private practice at Sequence Counseling and Consulting Services in Rockville Maryland. She is also a therapist for the University of Maryland Shady Grove Campus student health services. In both settings Anchal works with individual adults and couples. She is trained by the Gottman Institute as a Level 3 clinician, and has been accepted to complete Certification as A Gottman Therapist. In her practice Anchal has worked with numerous couples and incorporates several modalities of best practice, guided towards the needs of each specific couple. Anchal is an experienced and skilled presenter and has offered CEU trainings throughout the Washington area. She served as a faculty member of George Mason for over 10 years in a position that included curriculum development and teaching, and she regularly leads workshops for the State Department on topics related to cultural adjustment. In her role as Assistant Director of The Sequence Institute she has led groups, corporate mindfulness trainings, the Gottman Institutes Bringing Baby Home Workshops and has served as support for the Gottman Institute's "7 Principles That Make Marriage Work" couples workshop.

Continuing Education (CE)

Considering Couples Therapy? Understanding Couples Therapy For Those Who Are Considering The Craft.(Course # 2599) is approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program to be offered by Sequence Institute as an individual course. Individual courses, not providers, are approved at the course level. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. ACE course approval period: 09/18/2019 - 09/18/2021. Social workers completing this course receive 3 Clinical Practice continuing education credits.

Certification of participation will be provided at the conclusion of the workshop for all attendees who complete the program and a course evaluation.

The venue is located in a commercial house in downtown Silver Spring. Cedar House Professional Offices, 8607 Cedar Street, Silver Spring MD 20910. The building is a grey brick two story house, the entrance to the meeting room is located to the rear right side of the building before the steps to the garden, accessible by a flat sidewalk. The space is handicapped accessible, please contact our administrative office or presenter at the number below to request ADA accommodations and if handicapped parking is required as driveway space can be reserved. Metered street parking is in front of the building and on side streets, fees are 1.00 per hour. Public parking is also available in the Ellsworth Garage. Registration Fee, Cancellations, and Refund Policy:

95.00 per participant

Sequence Institute reserves the right to cancel any event due to low enrollment, inclement weather, instructor illness or other reason. If Sequence LLC decides to cancel the class, all registrants will receive a full refund. Through Thursday October 10th, 2019, registrants of the workshop who need to cancel for any reason will receive a refund of 90% of their registration fee.
