Crowbar Backcountry Ski Race 2019
CROWBAR (Cache Regional Overland Winter BAckcountry Race) is a ski mountaineering race held annually in the vicinity of Logan, Utah. CROWBAR is one of the only ski mountaineering races held 100% outside the bounds of any ski area.
The 2019 CROWBAR will be held February 9! Register here:

CROWBAR will be held at the Swan Flat trailhead located approximately 28 miles up Logan Canyon (US 89) from Logan, Utah. The Swan Flat site is a new location for CROWBAR this year. It is a longtime staple of the Logan ski community, and will provide a great new race venue. The site is within a few miles of Beaver Mountain Ski Resort, so you can finish the event with lift-served runs or a long sit by the fire in the lodge.
The 2019 CROWBAR Backcountry Ski Race will have 3 divisions: Junior (18 & Under), Recreation, and Heavy Metal/Race.
The distances and elevation gains will be similar to those of previous years.
We will mark the course before the race and set skin tracks and booters on ascents with passing lanes in critical areas. Skin track condition will be weather dependent. Note that weather, avalanche conditions, or other factors may require course changes or cancelling the event.
Gold crowbars and prizes donated by CROWBAR sponsors will be awarded to the fastest male and female participants in each division and gear category.
Race fees are $25/$50/$60 for Junior, Rec and Heavy Metal/Race divisions, respectively. Prices will increase by $20 on February 2 ($45/$70/$80). Race day registration will be available in the race tent.
