About the Speaker:
Dr. Michelle Joy, MD is a forensic psychiatrist who works in criminal, civil, and administrative settings as well as clinically (outpatient and emergency, with a focus on schizophrenia). She obtained her ScB in Cognitive Neuroscience at Brown University, her medical degree at Yale University, and general and forensic psychiatry trainings at the University of Pennsylvania. Her academic work is at the intersection of psychiatry, ethics, and the law; she also writes for general audiences.
