Ages 3-5 with or without caregivers.
Taught by Stephanie Stevens, Creative Movement & Rhythm blends the magic of childhood imagination with movement and the underlying principles of dance. With their imaginations joyfully engaged, youngsters utilize scarves, instruments, and ribbons as they are introduced to dance elements and movement fundamentals. Children also work on body control, listening skills, balance, and coordination in this open class. Focused on furthering the development of locomotor skills like hopping, clapping, and leaping, young movers are introduced to dance elements such as level, form, and shape, and will practice these newly acquired skills as they follow directions, take turns, and practice following and being the leader.
