A regional event to showcase examples of patient and public involvement (PPI) in health and socal care research. The workshop element of the day will focus on how we include a more diverse group of people in health and social care research.
This event is open to members of the public as well as researchers to provide an opportunity to learn how to access patient groups for research and how we broaden the reach of involvement work that is currently undertaken.
This event has been organised by the Creating Connections group. Creating Connections is a network of patient and public involvement groups in the North East who are working together to promote involvement opportunities across health and social care. The network includes partners from The NIHR Research Design Service, NIHR Innovation Observatory, University of Newcastle Medical Faculty, Voice, NIHR Clinical Research Network North East and North Cumbria, Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS FoundationTrust and NESCHA.
