Craft of Acting Seminar 12/19/18 PM

We are offering a Free Craft of Acting Seminar to teens and adults in the community who are interested exploring the craft of acting for the first time, or for those who wish to deepen their current understanding of the acting process.

We will be discussing the foundation of acting and what it takes to make it truthful. In addition, we will be covering topics such as:

• What does it mean to be an artist?
  
• Difference between various acting approaches.
• Basics of scene work.
  
• What is this thing called character?
  
• Personaliziation and how it can enhance your work.
• Industry topics
  

We also encourage you to bring any of your own questions to the discussion.

All we ask you to bring is a positive attitue and a notebook. If you'd like to bring your headshot/resume, we'd be happy to review those with you if time allows. Join us for this valuable seminar and gain a better perspective of this unique industry.

**You MUST have a ticket to attend, so register today. This workshop is for participants 14 and older.

We understand that this is a free event. However, we ask that you treat this as you would something you paid for. Please only reserve a seat if you intend on coming, as we will turn people away once we run out of seats.

Why is this event free?
While there are other similar seminars offered in the area for $99-$225, we at Truthful Acting Studios feel that certain information about the industry should be made available to the public at no cost.  We are dedicated to supporting the artistic community, and we are happy to give back when we can.  This is our way of doing just that.

If I attend this seminar, will it really be about trying to sell me on your classes?
We would love nothing more for you to join our artistic family at Truthful Acting, and we hope you enjoy yourself enough to consider that.  However, this seminar is exactly what it states it is, and we will not try to sell you on taking any of our classes.  We will simply answer basic questions about our studio and what we offer, and we will be available afterwards in case anyone has any additional questions about our classes.  This seminar is about YOU and the questions you have :-)

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes, absolutely!  We ask that you let us know so we can update our records on our end.  You can simply email us at info@truthfulacting.com

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You do not need your printed ticket for the event as long as you know the name on the registration.  We will have a list of names at the door.
