As FIG is a woman-owned company, we felt it was only appropriate that our first hosted event of the year celebrates women. We're celebrating IWD by recognizing the 81st birthday of Soviet Cosmonaut, Valentina Vladimirovna Tereshkova, who was the first woman in space. And, we're doing it in the only way we know how - with lots of food, drinks, and music!
The first part of the night will be family-style dinner inspired by Russian cuisine - starting with zakuski, a first course consisting of some of our favorite winter items like cheeses, meats, pickled vegetables, and deviled eggs. Then diving in to a hearty meal utilizing some of favorite producers.
Here's our Russian inspired, but locally produced menu. We can definitely accommodate vegetarians and since there is a wide variety there may be enough for vegans and gluten-free folks as well, but there will be no substitutions.
Throughout the event we will be thinking locally by recognizing some of the amazing women doing s**t in Chicago. We will be giving away 10 tickets to notable women who will be seating throughout the room and will definitely spur inpiring conversations. A portion of the proceeds will benefit
The second part of the night will be a full-on dance party (with snacks and drinks)! If you come to dinner you are automatically invited to stay for dancing. Or just come to dance with us - whatever your age.
