Join Asbury Book Cooperative for an exciting conversation between two New Jersey authors--Corinne Manning and Paul Lisicky--about their new books--We Had No Rules (Manning, Arsenal Pulp Press) and Later: My Life at the End of the World (Lisicky, Graywolf Press). The two will also discuss the concept of New Jersey "literary imagination."

Corinne Manning is a prose writer and literary organizer. Their stories and essays have been published widely, including in Toward an Ethics of Activism and Shadow Map: An Anthology of Survivors of Sexual Assault. Corinne founded The James Franco Review, a project that sought to address implicit bias in the publishing industry. We Had No Rules is their debut collection of short stories.

Paul Lisicky's six books include Later: My Life at the Edge of the World (named one of Oprah's 31 most anticipated LGBTQ Books of 2020), The Narrow Door, Unbuilt Projects, and Lawnboy. His work has appeared in The Atlantic, Conjunctions, Fence, The New York Times, Ploughshares, and elsewhere. His awards include fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, where he has served on the Writing Committee since 2000. He is an Associate Professor in the MFA Program at Rutgers University-Camden, where he is the editor of StoryQuarterly. He lives in Brooklyn.
