Hello all,

Recently in the news we have seen sexual harassment on the rise in the restaurant industry,

or perhaps just more exposed, with people such as Mike Isabella, Mario Batali, and various other restaurateurs

sexually harassing their employees in their restaurants.

I would like to host a series of roundtables at Toki Underground with the people in this

industry, from back of house, front of house, and management to sit down and have a

conversation about harassment. Gather in a safe space to discuss our stories and the change we want to

see. I want to allow women and men to speak about their stories and give opinions on what

would be the best direction to start to change our work environments for the better. I Want to discuss

sexual harassment, bullying, conforming to gender norms, power dynamics, lack of women inhigher positions,

pressures on male and female management, harassment from customers, and finally answer the question of WHY?

And WHAT is next? . If you are interested please messageme if you would like to be apart of the first talks in this

series. Since space is limited at Toki I will be hosting 15 people at a time on Sundays at 5pm, please confirm in your

message that you will be joining. Thank you so much and I hope to hear from those who are ready to speak up.
