Cook the Farmers' Market: Farmbelly @ SB Wine Therapy

Join farmer + chef Michelle Aronson, of the Farmbelly Cooking School, for a farmers' market tour and a hands-on cooking class at Santa Barbara Wine Therapy! We will begin at Wine Therapy and walk one block to the Tuesday Farmers' Market on State Street - where we will meet local farmers and you'll learn how to shop for the best local produce the Central Coast has to offer. After strolling the market, we will walk back to Santa Barbara Wine Therapy for a laid back and hands-on cooking class, where you'll hone your knife skills and create a beautiful, seasonal dish inspired by our farmers' market bounty. In this class, we will cover the following:

• How to source the best local produce at the farmers' market
• Tips and tools for reducing food waste
• Knife skills lesson
• How to select, store, chop, and cook with fresh herbs
• How to make homemade vinaigrettes with local citrus
• The art of a seasonal salad (without needing a recipe!)

The class will begin at Wine Therapy at 5:30pm. We will explore the farmers' market together for 30-40 minutes and then return to Wine Therapy. There will be wine and snacks to enjoy while we whip up a delicious seasonal salad and homemade vinaigrette with local produce from our stroll through the farmers' market. Your ticket includes all ingredients, materials, farm fresh snacks and a glass of wine from Wine Therapy.
