This Session's Theme: "The Art of the Still Life"
Artists of ALL skill levels: come join us and learn the steps in creating a dramatic still life through drawing and painting. Achieve correct perspective, bring out shadows, highlights, and texture, and experiment with compositional elements.
Still life painting is a very popular genre that has been important in Western culture since the 16th century. It is defined as a two-dimensional artwork that depicts inanimate objects, or objects that do not move.
This class moves at each student’s pace and skill. We will be working from photo references as well as directly from setups in the classroom.
