Viewpoints Gallery proudly presents “Contemporary Landscapes” by Kathleen Mitchell, a California native whose gorgeous landscapes are imbued with vibrancy,

texture and captivating color combinations. Kathleen’s work invites viewers to linger and explore compositions that feel simultaneously familiar and fresh thanks to her remarkable mastery of the acrylic medium.

The meeting of land and sky with vibrant colors and exuberant textures allows Kathleen to show what is beyond the surface and share the essence and spirit of the contemporary landscape. Each piece resonates with her distinctly beautiful style and reveals her deep ties to local landscapes. Kathleen’s passion for her subject matter shines through in every piece.

Kathleen has a master’s degree in painting and drawing from San Jose State University and is a signature member of the California Watercolor Society. She has won multiple painting awards including First place at the Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Society’s Annual Show.
