Visual Artist and Photographer Ada Trillo is the selected 2019-2020 Leeway x Fleisher Art Memorial Visual Artist-in-Residence.

For the last four years, Ada Trillo has been using the practice of photography to document the immigration journey of folx along the U.S./Mexico border. Join Ada as the Leeway x Fleisher Art Memorial Visual Artist-in-Residence for a culminating community conversation as she shares her photos and experience documenting the injustices of the failed immigration policies under the current administration. In addition, Ada will highlight the contributions that immigrants from South and Central America have made in the U.S.

Attendees will get an in-depth look at Ada's work spanning from 2018 through 2020 and engage in a conversation about immigrant justice and consensual engagement in photographic documentation.
