Communications Training Officer: A Positive Approach

This class by 21 CLETS, LLC is designed for public safety Communications Training Officers for the development of more effective communication skills that enhance C.T.O. leadership, promote transparency in the training relationship, and increase trainer and trainee wellness.

Over 3 days, this 24-hour class will demonstrate how active listening and open discussion in a safe environment can improve trainee motivation. Through a variety of learning activities, we will promote ways to bring more creativity to the learning process, and identify important trainee characteristics such as varied learning styles, aptitudes and attitudes. Trainers will learn how to reduce disruptive behaviors that may hinder learning and have the potential to undermine a successful workplace such as bullying, gossip, and negativity. Our course is also designed to promote trainer self-awareness and emotional intelligence, to decrease stress in the training environment and avoid trainer fatigue or burnout.
