Code.Org and Code Kitty - A Collaborative Learning Experience!
Join us for two days of Computer Science Education Professional Development!.
Day one attend a free seven-hour CS Fundamentals Code.org workshop! Experience in-person instruction from an experienced computer science facilitator, including an intro to computer science, pedagogy, overview of online curriculum, teacher dashboard, and strategies for teaching "unplugged" classroom activities. You'll receive (at no cost): printed curriculum guide, certificate of completion worth 7 CEUs, classroom supplies for the unplugged lessons, and fun Code.org swag! Come back the next day for Code Kitty where you will learn about the innovative Code Kitty Workshop and how to bring 3D printing, computational thinking, robotics, engineering, and coding together for your students! The Code Kitty workshop is a $50/learner donation to the Code Kitty non-profit which not only gets you a hands-on workshop with a robot you bring home at the end of the day-long workshop, but funds an additional robot for a low-income student, through their Get One/Give One program.
