A technique of applying powdered glass to metal and then torch or kiln firing it to its melting point the enamel cools in brilliant colors to make an amazing decoration on your metalwork. The technique dates back to the time of the ancient Egyptians who used it on pottery and jewelry.
In this one day workshop, you will use cloisonne wire to create a design of your own and learn how to apply enamel properly, fire to the correct temperature, counter-enamel to prevent cracking and wet-sand and polish to create a finished piece.

Good quality 000 paintbrush
220, 320, 400 and 600 wet/dry sand paper
Stackpack or covered jars to hold enamels (1”-2” in Diameter)
