"...achingly gorgeous songs..."...Fort Meyers Magazine June 2016
"...the charisma of their duets is uniquely mesmerizing."....Hyperbolium February 2016
Clay Parker and Jodi James, both already established artists in their own right, have been fostering a new and assured voice as a duo. This new direction combines elements of traditional roots music and soulful harmonies delivered with the sincerity found in the early folk singer-songwriter movement. Independently, Parker and James have been solid staples in the Baton Rouge music scene, but their musical collaboration didn't begin until the fall of 2014 when they wrote their first twelve songs together over the course of two weeks while located in different states. They've since worked relentlessly refining themselves as a duo and continue to tour the U. S. in support of their debut EP Clay Parker and Jodi James.
“This is an album that will need to be listened to and not just played in the background. It has to marinate in your musical soul--It is for select tastes and for discriminating ears. But it will make an impression…it will.”
